From self-doubt to intuitive confidence, Kim’s journey through the Aroma Reiki Training has been nothing short of transformational. In this week’s Shine Well Spotlight, she shares how this path helped her reconnect with her gifts, strengthen her trust in Reiki, and guide others with compassion and clarity.

What inspired you to take the Aroma Reiki Training?

“I was already certified in Reiki Level II, and while I loved the practice, I didn’t feel fully confident in offering it on its own — I worried that clients wouldn’t ‘feel’ anything or wouldn’t understand what Reiki was.

But when I learned about Aroma Reiki, something immediately clicked. It made sense to me. I already knew how powerful essential oils were — and this gave me a tangible way to offer energy healing that clients could relate

A full-circle moment…

“My Reiki journey began back in 2016 — during a very emotional season when my father was in the hospital. In fact, my Level I training was the only day I didn’t visit the hospital in those four months. Something told me I had to be there. Four weeks later, my father passed. Reiki has always held deep meaning for me.

It took four more years for me to complete Level II… and then another four before Aroma Reiki found me. But when it did, everything clicked. It came exactly when I was ready.”

A recent session that stood out…
“I recently worked with a client who was completely new to both Reiki and Aroma Reiki. She scored fairly balanced on her Shine Wellness Assessment, so we went deeper into what was happening in her life and body.

As we talked, it became clear that the session needed to focus on Elevating Thoughts — and that’s exactly where we went. It was such a beautiful reminder of how this work meets people exactly where they are. I’m learning to trust my intuition more and more, and Aroma Reiki is helping me guide each session with greater insight and ease.”

Favorite oils to work with…

“I personally love Sacred Frankincense and Lavender — I use them often to ground myself before sessions. But with clients, it always varies. In one recent session, my client was drawn to Gratitude and Present Time — and they were perfect for her. I love watching how the oils speak to what someone truly needs.”

How Aroma Reiki has transformed her confidence…

“This training has impacted me immensely. Within days of receiving my certification, I started practicing — and I haven’t stopped since. The shift has been incredible. I’ve received so much positive feedback from my clients, and I finally feel confident in my ability to facilitate healing. It’s been a true blessing.”
